Brisbane Airport Traffic Control Refurbishment Project
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works will scrutinise a $35.7 million proposal from Airservices Australia to refurbish the Air Traffic Services Centre and Control Tower Complex at Brisbane Airport at a public hearing on Thursday 4 March 2021.
The inquiry into the Airservices Australia, Brisbane Air Traffic Services Centre and Control Tower Complex Refurbishment Project will examine the need for the fitout of the office and administration areas within the Control Tower and Air Traffic Service Centres. Under the proposal, the project will also provide space to accommodate the relocation and integration of Defence air traffic control approach services from Darwin and Townsville Air Force bases into the Brisbane Air Traffic Service Centre.
The Prime Minister office informs the general public that in the context of the fight against insecurity, the Government Council of March 3, 2021 decided to adopt the following measures.

FAIRMONT â After taking hits to revenue and passenger traffic amid the COVID-19 pandemic, West Virginia airports will soon receive economic relief.
U.S. Sens Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., and Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced Tuesday that $5.6 million dollars will be allocated to 13 airports across the state.
Just over $1 million will be going to the North Central West Virginia Airport in Clarksburg and $13,000 will be going to Fairmont Municipal-Frankman Field Airport. The funds are made possible through the Coronavirus Relief and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2020.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport was on March 1 awarded the title of Best Airport by Size & Region in Asia-Pacific in 2020 by the Airports Council International (ACI).
